Is Rouge Trafalgar really discontinued?
Yes - Dior pulled it from La Collection Privee, and remaining bottles now trade well above their original price. Elixir De Myra recreates its cherry and pink pepper profile and stays permanently in production.
How close is it to the original?
We rebuilt the profile note for note: cherry and pink pepper up top, Turkish and Bulgarian rose at the heart, red fruits in the base. Wearers of the original recognise it from the first spray.
Is it too sweet for daytime?
No - the pink pepper and rose keep the cherry tart rather than syrupy. Elegant by day, seductive after dark.
